The Black Speculative Arts Digital Archive had a chance to sit down and talk to Mr. Gregory Brooks, a man after our own hearts.

 

Gregory Brooks is living proof that the Black nerd is not a new creation. Contributor Christopher Guzman interviews Mr. Brooks, a lifelong resident and civil servant of the City of New Orleans, who learned to read through comic books foraged from the discarded titles found behind comic books shops. Mr. Brooks offers his reading and enthusiasm for speculative fiction, old and new.
